Tours
As with all businesses, there are a number of tour operations in Kona for you to choose from. Many of them have only recently started or they have gotten too big to give you the kind of service you deserve. What sets us apart are our credentials, our commitment to service, our sincere love for what we do and 15 years of experience. Choose carefully. Ask lots of questions. If they are not patient with you before you come, they won't be patient after you get here. It is relatively easy to look good on paper or on the web. Talk to the people behind the scenes. Go with your instincts. We can be reached at 808-987-8660 or feel free to e-mail us with any questions you might have. We pride ourselves on responding quickly to all inquiries: info@dolphindreams.com

| Dolphin Charter
This is a wonderful half-day out on the ocean. While wild dolphins do not live in any certain place all the time, there are resident pods that come inshore during the day to rest at various locations along the Kona coast. We travel to these near shore areas for up-close encounters with them. Hawaiian waters are clear, warm and enchantingly blue. One does not need to be a good swimmer or an experienced snorkeler to enjoy the dolphins. We have flotation devices and our guides are happy to give snorkeling lessons. For those who prefer not to get in the water, you will still be able to see the dolphins riding the wake of the boat as well as doing jumps and spins. We provide topside and underwater videography services on this and all of our charters.

Scuba Diving
These are the types of charters that we run daily. Departure times are around 9:00am and we usually arrive back at the harbor sometime between 1:00 and 2:00pm. There are 60 dive sites within a half hour (or less) boat ride from the harbor. Click here to see a map, which illustrates some of the sites we dive at regularly. From green sea turtles to large lava tubes with skylights to abundant fish life found nowhere else in the world, Hawaii is a great place to dive for both the experienced diver as well as the beginner. Our pace is slow and easy. We want this to be one of your most memorable vacations.

* = Introductory Dive/Discover Scuba Diving Participant: Gear is included in price. This is a program for someone who would like to try scuba diving, but doesn't want to commit to a certification course. The process begins with us having you fill out a medical form so that we can be sure you do not have any conditions that may conflict with scuba diving. Click here (.pdf file) to see a copy of the form. If your answer is YES to any of the questions, you will need to see a doctor to get his/her clearance before you try scuba diving. Rather than having to arrange something like that here in Hawaii and use up precious vacation time, we recommend you make an appointment with a physician you know and trust from your area. If your answer is YES to any of the questions, let us know, and we will send you a form that you can take to your doctor. Once cleared, we will show you a few basic scuba skills, and then an instructor will take you on a shallow dive in clear, warm water. Later, if you decide you are interested in certification, the dives you do will count towards certification, which you can either do with us or back home. We will gladly provide you will all the paperwork and assist you with finding a reputable scuba education facility in your area. A minimum age of 10 years is required. Take the whole family diving!

Manta Ray Dive
Whether you intend to dive or snorkel, this is a must do activity. The Manta Experience has been rated as one of the 10 most exciting adventures in the world . Manta Rays are harmless creatures that filter plankton from the water. They range in size from 4 to 14 feet. They are considered one of the most graceful and beautiful fish in the ocean. We specialize in this activity. No one on earth has more time underwater with manta rays than we do. You have probably seen our video imagery on television (Discovery Channel, TNT, ESPN2, The Travel Channel) or our photos in national magazines and newspapers (New York Times, New York Post, Minneapolis Star Tribune, Scuba Diving Magazine, Islands Magazine) or read about us in the March 2005 issue of Outside Magazine. Whale Watching
The Kona coast of the Big Island of Hawaii offers some of the best whale watching anywhere in the world. Each year between December and March the Humpback Whales arrive on the Kona coast after their long migration from Alaska . It is a time of whale song, mating, and birthing. Sometimes they can be observed breaching completely out of the water. It is spectacular and another activity not to be missed. Click here to see a video clip of a young calf breaching while Mom and a male escort swim nearby.
