| On Sunday, I had an orientation meeting with Jim and Martina about the expectations and requirements of this internship. Jim and Martina are great people. They really practice what they preach. They expect a fair amount of things from the interns, but at the same time they say "If you do what is expected, you will get by. If you do more than what is expected, you will get ahead." And often I feel that they do more for me than I do for them. Everything they do is with a lot of dedication, discipline and love; especially love for their work, and that is why they are so successful. And because we (interns) can sense that love, work almost doesn`t feel like we are working. The "work" is part of the fun, and the fun is part of the work. And I feel so grateful for everything that they did, do, and will do for me that I constantly looking for ways to help them. Well, no matter how much I say, you would only understand what I am saying by being with them. Continuing my Sunday... Martina let us borrow the car so Ryan, Julia and I went to a Luau in the Marriot Hotel. It was awesome! Totally recommended. Great food, great show... |
